European Energy has sold the Henglarn onshore wind project in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia to DaVinci Energy, a Turkey-based renewable energy consultant and project developer. European Energy announced this in a press release.

The Henglarn project includes an Enercon E-160 EP5 E3 wind turbine with a capacity of 5.56 MW. The turbine achieved commercial operation on July 11, 2025. The Henglarn project is covered by an EEG feed-in tariff that was awarded in February 2025.

The sale is part of European Energy's strategy to rotate capital from operational assets to new development activities in the German market.

- We are pleased to be part of DaVinci Energy's first transaction in Germany. The sale of Henglarn reflects our ongoing efforts to optimize our asset portfolio in the country. The transaction enables reinvestment of capital in new renewable energy projects currently under development, while ensuring continuity for the operational assets and their stakeholders, says Jens Peter Zink, Deputy CEO of European Energy.

European Energy currently operates more than 160 onshore wind assets in Germany and has majority ownership in over 100 of them. The total capacity of the onshore wind assets in Germany, where the company has a majority stake, amounts to 581 MW. By the end of December 2025, European Energy is in the process of constructing 118 MW of onshore wind in Germany. The company's total development portfolio in the country amounts to 2.2 GW divided between onshore wind, solar energy and battery storage.

DaVinci Energy was founded in 2020 and is headquartered in Ankara. The company works both as a renewable energy investment advisor and as a project developer, managing a portfolio of over 2 GW of wind and solar projects in Turkey for more than ten investors. The company also has affiliated entities in the Netherlands, Germany and Hungary.
