Cadeler has been appointed as preferred supplier (PSA) for the transport and installation of monopiles and transition pieces on a large offshore wind farm in European waters. The customer behind the project has not yet been announced. The wind shipping company announced this in a press release.
The installation work is expected to start in the first half of 2028 and will be carried out with two of the company's installation vessels, including one of the new A-class vessels, which are designed to handle extra large foundations. The agreement is conditional on the customer's final investment decision.
According to the company, the project will be Cadeler's first full-scale foundation transport and installation assignment outside the UK. The agreement also supports the company's strategy to develop into a total solution provider for the offshore wind industry.
- The agreement continues to demonstrate confidence in Cadeler's competencies within the transport and installation of offshore wind foundations. We continue to expand our portfolio of complex foundation projects and our experience across markets with a focus on safe and reliable project execution, says Mikkel Gleerup, CEO of Cadeler.
