Esbjerg Port Director Dennis Jul Pedersen is running for the board of directors of WindEurope to help push forward development and ensure better conditions for the industry. He wrote this today on his LinkedIn profile.

As director of Esbjerg Port, he has experienced that challenges such as heavy approval processes and lack of investments have made it more difficult to live up to the ambitious statements about green energy from the EU.

Dennis Jul Pedersen wants to join the board of directors of WindEurope to work for a number of improvements. It is about strengthening Ptx initiatives, strengthening international cooperation, defending the position of the European wind industry, strengthening supply chains that are challenged, and not least fighting for further investments in the ports that are bottlenecks in many of the large wind projects that lie ahead of us.

Dennis Jul Pedersen has, during his initial five years as director of the Port of Esbjerg, helped to elevate the port into the world elite in the offshore wind sector. The Port of Esbjerg is now the port in the world that has shipped the most offshore wind.

Previously, Dennis Jul Pedersen was CEO of NSG Wind, where he contributed to the growth and success of the offshore wind service company. Before this, he was General Manager at Milaha Offshore Support Service in Singapore and previously held leading roles in companies such as Gulf Marine Services, Fugro-Geoteam, Maersk and Siemens Offshore.
