More than 100 employees at Vestas' production in Ringkøbing have been sent home after an outbreak of infection hit the workplace. Thus, 25 employees have been infected since April 13, while a further 80 employees who are considered to be close contacts at the workplace have been sent home, writes TV Midtvest.
The infected are all part of the factory's night shift, and it is almost half the shift that has had to be sent home, says production director Tommy Rahbek Nielsen. Production is therefore running at a lower rate than normal, but they are "keeping their noses in the water for now," says Tommy Rahbek Nielsen.
Two nurses from Ringkøbing-Skjern Municipality have visited the production in Ringkøbing to go through the workplace's measures to avoid the spread of the infection. The two nurses had two minor comments, writes TV Midtvest, but were otherwise positive about Vestas' measures.
