Save good agricultural land and install solar cells along highways and on roofs

Over the weekend, the leader of the Danish Democrats, Inger Støjberg, announced that the party was opposed to the government's plans to build energy parks, which will mainly be located in Jutland. At the Danish Democrats' national conference, she stated that "iron fields look terrible" and "for me, solar cells belong on roofs and not on good agricultural land".

This position is now also supported by a well-known leftist. Thus, former member of parliament Kristian Pihl Lorentzen writes in a post on Facebook after a visit to the company DSV near Horsens that he is opposed to solar cells on agricultural land. DSV is in the process of installing the world's largest rooftop solar cell system on top of its logistics center, and has started thinking about it with Pihl Lorentzen, who sees great potential for solar cells on the roofs of large buildings. He will soon have the opportunity to express this position again in the Folketinget, when from November he will again have a seat in the House, as a maternity leave substitute for the Danish Democrat Mads Fuglede.

"Let us in the future focus on promoting solar cells on the roofs of public and private buildings. This requires attractive frameworks for investment in solar cells on roofs. The technology is ready. And there are plenty of available m2. Solar cells can also be advantageously installed along motorways following the German model. In a time of shortage of land, we must not miss the opportunity for massive utilization of roofs and corridors along motorways for green energy production with solar cells," writes the politician.
