Energy trading company Energi Danmark has hired Henrik Dyrholm Holst as new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) from February 1, 2025. In the newly created position, he will be responsible for the group's digital strategy and innovation and brings 21 years of experience from the financial sector, Energi Danmark said in a press release.

The new CTO will, among other things, lead the development of a new trading platform for energy that combines parts of Energi Danmark's own platform with solutions from tech companies and digital startups.

- We have a clear ambition to remain one of Europe's leading energy traders. This requires continuous digital innovation, and Henrik is exactly the right profile for this key task. With his broad experience from the financial sector and our deep domain knowledge of energy trading, we see great potential to become a digital frontrunner in solutions that benefit both our customers and our energy traders, says Louise Hahn, CEO of Energi Danmark.

Henrik Dyrholm Holst most recently comes from Saxo Bank, where he has been responsible for the development of the bank's trading systems for 12 years. He has previously held senior positions at Reuters and Nordea with a focus on developing digital platforms for financial markets.

- I look forward to building on Energi Danmark's already strong digital foundation and helping to develop solutions that the energy market of the future requires. It is no secret that the energy industry is facing major changes in the near future, and I see great opportunities in putting my technological knowledge to work together with talented colleagues at Energi Danmark, says Henrik Dyrholm Holst.
