Following the untimely passing of former chairman Jens Maaløe in the spring of 2023, there has been a thorough process in Niras Alectia Fonden to supplement the board of directors of Niras and put together the right future board for Niras. And now the replacement has been found.
The choice of new board chair has fallen on Lisbeth Knudsen, who is currently the strategy director at Altinget and Mandag Morgen. She is familiar with the role, as she has practically carried it out during and after Jens Maaløe's illness and death.
Lisbeth Knudsen has been a member of Niras' board of directors since 2018. As the new chairman of the board, she ensures continuity in the board's work and continues to contribute to the board with her extensive knowledge of, among other things, social conditions, digital development and green transition, Niras states in a press release.
- At Niras, we are investing significant resources in supporting our customers' strong need for a focus on sustainability and digital transition in these years. We are well on our way to major transformations of society, if we just think of the energy sector as an example. A transformation that will entail significant changes for both producers, distributors and consumers of energy. I am very much looking forward to continuing this work, together with the rest of the board and the management of Niras, says Lisbeth Knudsen.
New board member
In addition to the appointment of Lisbeth Knudsen, the board of the Niras group has also incorporated a new member in the form of Jens Harsaee. Jens Harsaae brings extensive experience in managing consulting companies through a career in the Boston Consulting Group, where he has had both international business responsibility and held the role of managing director. Today he works as an independent consultant and board chairman for a number of digitally based companies.
He is also expected to contribute to the board of Niras with his experience in digital transformation and development as well as commercialization of digital and data-based business models.
