BioCirc can continue plans for a large solar park in Jammerbugt under the Jammerbugt Go Green project. The Technical and Environmental Committee in Jammerbugt Municipality has approved plans for a solar plant on 816 hectares, but at the same time put the project's biogas plant on 52 hectares on hold. This is reported by Effektivt Landbrug.

According to the decision, the solar plant must have a maximum height of 3.5 meters, and year-round planting and two fauna passages must be established in the area. On the other hand, the proposal to amend the local plan, which would pave the way for a biogas plant, Power-to-X and grass protein plant, was rejected. According to the municipality's future mayor, Christian Hem (V), the decision is not final, however:

- Democracy has spoken now, and we follow that, and we respect that. But I also think that there is now a phase between now and then until we have an economic committee meeting, where we can maybe talk a little, says Christian Hem (V), who is the future mayor of Jammerbugt Municipality, to TV2 Nord.

Therefore, there is still a possibility that the plans for biogas plants and PtX can be taken up again at a later date, if a new solution is found politically. BioCirc states that it will continue to engage with the local area and take into account concerns about traffic and odors from the planned industrial cluster.

With the preliminary approval, significantly more solar cells can be built in the area in the coming years. Within a radius of 10 kilometers from the project area, there are plans for solar cell plants on more than 1,800 hectares, corresponding to more than 5 percent of the land area.
