Eurowind Energy has decided to leave the US market and close its office in California after four years in the country. CEO and co-owner Jens Rasmussen states that the company will continue to complete and sell the projects it already has in progress. This is reported by Børsen.
- We have some projects that we want to complete and sell off, and we will do so at the pace that is possible. But the plan in the long term is that we are no longer active in the US, says Jens Rasmussen.
Eurowind is in the process of divesting, most recently in November it sold a major battery storage project in California, which attracted significant interest. According to Børsen, the reason for the decision is political uncertainty in the US after Donald Trump took office as president, including the country's withdrawal from the Paris Agreement. In connection with the decision, Eurowind has said goodbye to 10 employees at the office in California.
