Eifo becomes co-owner of Stiesdal

The Danish Export and Investment Fund (Eifo) is investing "a double-digit million amount" and thus becomes a co-owner of Stiesdal, which, among other things, develops climate technology solutions within offshore wind, PtX and CCS.

The Danish company Stiesdal A/S, which develops technologies to promote the green transition and combat climate change, is now taking over Eifo. This comes after Eifo invested an unspecified "double-digit million" in the company. Eifo informs this on its LinkedIn profile.

- For EIFO, it is important to invest in a Danish company like Stiesdal, which helps promote Danish exports and continues to place Denmark centrally in the global value chain that supports sustainability and green transition, says Peter Boeskov, CCO, Large Corporates at EIFO.

Stiesdal has three active subsidiaries: Stiesdal HydroGen produces equipment for green hydrogen production by electrolysis, Stiesdal Offshore, which develops floating offshore wind turbine foundations, and Stiesdal SkyClean has built the world's largest pyrolysis plant. (20 MW) for the production of biochar and energy from crop residues, which is set to open on October 7.

Want to join the journey

These are all projects that Stiesdal hopes to be able to scale in the future and Eifo will be part of that journey.

- We would really like to support that journey with our international expertise and financing solutions, says Peter Boeskov.

At Stieldal, which earlier this year also brought Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker into the ownership circle via a three-digit million investment, they are happy to have Eifo on board.

- We are very excited that Eifo. chose to join Chr. Augustinus Fabrikker in a joint investment in Stiesdal. Our goal is to accelerate the green transition beyond Denmark's borders, and that goal is moving closer with the new ownership group, says Jacob Nørgaard Andersen, CEO of Stiesdal A/S.

Stiesdal A/S was founded in 2016 by Henrik Stiesdal. The company consists of approx. 140 employees, distributed across locations in Copenhagen, Aarhus and Give.
