The Danish PtX company Pura Futura has become a new member of the Hydrogen Industry and thus enters the Danish hydrogen and PtX environment with a focus on solutions for biomethanization. The company is working on using hydrogen in biogas plants to produce e-methane, which can help to displace fossil natural gas and at the same time create value in existing plants. This is stated by the interest organization in a press release.
- We are incredibly happy to have Pura Futura join the membership. The company is working purposefully on using hydrogen in biogas plants to produce e-methane. This means that their PtX technology can both displace fossil natural gas and create concrete value for biogas plants. The team behind Pura Futura has solid experience and insight, which will be crucial for bringing the technology to life. I am very much looking forward to the collaboration, says Tejs Laustsen Jensen, director of Brintbranchen.
Pura Futura itself points out that membership provides access to a network and relevant skills in the industry. At the same time, the company emphasizes that their solution makes it possible to use hydrogen for the production of e-fuels in existing infrastructures and thus utilize biogenic CO2 from biogas plants as an alternative to CCS.
