Rambøll is carrying out a major round of layoffs in its energy division as a result of a slowdown in the green energy market. The cuts are taking place across geographies and business areas and are a consequence of lower activity and fewer projects. The company confirms this to JydskeVestkysten.

- The adjustments have had consequences for Rambøll's global energy division across geographies and offices, including Esbjerg. We cannot go into more detail about the specific number affected, says Susanne Wellington Hansen, who is from Communications & Marketing at Rambøll.

According to EnergiWatch, Rambøll has laid off close to 100 employees in the energy division in recent months, of which around 80 in the latest round of layoffs. Rambøll does not want to disclose how many employees have been laid off.

For several years, Rambøll has significantly expanded its energy business, where the division currently employs more than 2,100 people globally. The strategy has included moving competencies from oil and gas to green energy projects.

According to management, this is a temporary slowdown. The need for green transition is still there, but the pace in the market is slower than before.
