Mads Nipper, former CEO of Ørsted and now chairman of FLSmidth, has stated that he will not return to a CEO position. In a debate at the Folkemødet on Bornholm, he was asked about his future plans, and that is where the rejection came from, writes MarketWire.
- I will not have a new CEO job, said Mads Nipper, emphasizing that his decision was not due to dissatisfaction with his time at Ørsted and calling the period educational.
Nipper was dismissed from Ørsted in February. Shortly after, he was elected chairman of the industrial group FLSmidth. The new track points to the boardroom rather than the executive corridor. He says that he has entered into an agreement with a large Swiss asset manager and now wants to contribute to management and social development from new positions. He is also involved in the International Peace Institute. In addition to his time at Ørsted, he has previously held senior positions at both Lego and Grundfos.
