Danish cable giant moves headquarters back to Copenhagen

NKT is moving its head office from Brøndby to Copenhagen, returning the company to the capital, where the company was founded over 100 years ago.

Cable manufacturer NKT is moving its headquarters from Brøndby to Nordhavn in Copenhagen. From January 5, 2026, the company will be located at Amerika Plads 29, where around 140 employees will work on a daily basis.

NKT was founded in Copenhagen in 1891 and has since had several addresses in the capital area. The head office has been located in Priorparken in Brøndby since 1944, but the move to Nordhavn marks a shift back to a more central location, the company writes in a press release:

According to CEO Claes Westerlind, the new headquarters will create a better environment for employees and make it easier to attract international guests. He also points out that accessibility by public transport has been an important factor in choosing the location.

- Our company is growing, and we have been investigating the possibilities for a new headquarters for some time. We want to create a diverse and inspiring working environment for everyone, and in line with the progress we have made in recent years, it became clear that we needed more space and better facilities - both for our colleagues at the headquarters and for those who visit us from other parts of the world, says Claes Westerlind.

However, NKT will continue to maintain some of its activities in Brøndby, where Service and Installation will remain located.
