HORSENS: The planned electric highway from Aabenraa to Aarhus, with 400 kV overhead lines and high-voltage pylons, will also affect citizens in Horsens. Mayor Peter Sørensen (S) emphasizes that it is necessary to recognize that some citizens will be affected, but that security of supply is crucial. This is reported in Horsens Folkeblad.
Energinet has already invited affected citizens to dialogue meetings, and the mayor is confident that the energy company has done thorough preparatory work prior to the project: "One must assume that the project is well documented, and Energinet must continue to explain this. It will be pressure-tested, that goes without saying, but it must also be able to withstand that when a state institution puts something out. That is my starting point, but it will become clear when the project comes up for consultation," says the mayor.
At the same time, he emphasizes that Energinet has previously shown a willingness to take citizens into account in similar projects. In West Jutland, 150 kV lines were buried. Whether Horsens Municipality itself will submit a consultation response is still unknown, as the national planning directive gives the state the final say.
