ISO and GHG Protocol enter into historic partnership on common global standards for greenhouse gas accounting.

The goal is to standardize methods at the company, product and project levels, making reporting simpler and more comparable. The collaboration aims to reduce the complexity of carbon and climate accounting and strengthen the quality of data, providing a better basis for climate action.

- Both ISO and GHG Protocol share a vision to effectively promote climate action and simplify the task for all stakeholders. This is a new era for the carbon accounting landscape, and both organizations are excited to collaborate, says Sergio Mujica, Secretary General of ISO.

Danish Standard, Denmark's representative in ISO, sees great benefits in the partnership and highlights the opportunity to make international standards more applicable to Danish companies and organizations.

Through Danish Standard's sustainability forum, Danish stakeholders can participate and contribute experiences so that future standards also take into account Nordic and European conditions.

- When we bring together stakeholders from the entire value chain, we ensure that the standards are both robust and applicable in practice. Danish participation helps ensure that the solutions also work in a Nordic and European context, says Tina Helsted Vengsgaard, Director of Danish Standard. She continues:

- We encourage everyone with an interest in climate, sustainability, carbon footprint and reporting to take part in the work. This is where you can help shape the solutions of the future and ensure that Danish perspectives are heard.
