Former SF member of parliament Jacob Mark is changing jobs and becoming head of the professional and political department, Nature and Environment, at the Danish Society for Nature Conservation. The Danish Society for Nature Conservation wrote this in a press release on Monday.

Jacob Mark left the Danish Parliament on December 1st last year to become senior public affairs manager at the energy company Andel. Now he is changing employers.

- I will be part of a strong professional organization with thousands of committed volunteers and enthusiasts - and at the same time will have the opportunity to learn from and lead some of Denmark's most talented political and professional employees, says Jacob Mark in the press release.

33-year-old Jacob Mark was a member of the Danish Parliament for about ten years before he said goodbye last year. In the last general election in 2022, Jacob Mark received the fifth most personal votes of all politicians, which was more than the chairman of the SF, Pia Olsen Dyhr.

Jacob Mark was seen by many as an obvious chairman of the SF in the future, but he also experienced the downside of politics, namely the risk of working so much that it became unhealthy. He was sick with stress during a period when he also had problems with his eyesight.
