On Tuesday, the mayor of Frederikshavn Municipality, Birgit S. Hansen (S), announced that she would propose at Wednesday's city council meeting that a legal investigation of the past 12 years should investigate what has led to the critical situation in which the port has ended up with a debt of approximately DKK 1.5 billion. Since the Social Democrats have a majority, it can be expected that the proposal will be adopted.
And that is what the former chairman of the port for seven years, businessman Bo Uggerhøj, is looking forward to. He resigned from the post last year and has not since commented on the criticism that has been directed at him and the previous management, writes Nordjyske.
- We look forward to that, so that confidentiality can be removed, and we will have the opportunity to explain ourselves in detail. We are happy that the facts are now on the table and being presented. I think I speak for many former board members, he says.
