DOI.dk could already write in October 2023 about problems with the 322-meter-long scrap ship Zafiro Producer, which is being scrapped by the recycling company M.A.R.S or Modern American Recycling Services Inc. At that time, the ship broke free and caused damage. Now there are again problems with the same ship at M.A.R.S. in the harbor. This is reported by TV2Nord.dk
According to the media, the ship Zafiro Producer is now blocking Stena Oil from taking over a new oil terminal facility. The oil company was supposed to have taken over the new terminal in early November 2023, with a three-year delay. But TV2 Nord now writes that this has not yet happened. The Zafiro Producer has been lowered to the bottom of the harbor basin so that it does not break loose again like in October 2023.
TV2 Nord has tried in vain to obtain a comment from both Stena Oil and M.A.R.S.
