A large part of the blue bloc consisting of the Conservatives, Liberal Alliance, Danish People's Party and the Danish Democrats will have a plan in the next election period for how and when the state can sell its shares in Ørsted. The Liberal Party has also stated that it is open to discussing a possible sale in upcoming government negotiations. However, this plan does not resonate with Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Lars Aagaard (M). According to the minister, the political debate about a possible state exit could create uncertainty about the energy company, which could have consequences. This is reported by Finans.

- Their creditworthiness is absolutely crucial for Ørsted's competitiveness, and by creating political discussion and unrest around Ørsted, I am afraid that the company's development opportunities are being damaged, says Lars Aagaard, who is the Minister of Climate, to Finans.

The background to the Blue Block's request is, among other things, Ørsted's problems in the American market and a capital raise of 60 billion DKK in 2025, where the state injected 30 billion DKK into the company. Lars Aagaard does not want to discuss a possible sale now. According to the minister, public considerations about selling the state's majority stake could cause concern among foreign lenders and in the capital market.
