Equinor has published its fourth-quarter financial results on Wednesday morning.

This shows that the oil company delivered a profit after tax of $1.55 billion.

The fourth quarter was characterized by high production with production growth of six percent and 3.4 percent for the full year. Specifically, this means that Equinor had a total own production of 2.198 million barrels of oil equivalent per day.

- With new fields in operation and strong operational performance, we are delivering record-high production and competitive returns in 2025, says Anders Opedal, CEO of Equinor ASA. He continues:

- In 2026, we expect around three percent production growth, up from record levels in 2025. We are taking firm measures to strengthen free cash flow, remain resilient to lower prices and maintain competitive capital allocation.

This is due, among other things, to the fact that Equinor has added exploration areas in both Norway, Brazil and Angola, and around 30 exploration wells are planned for 2026.
