Ahlsell Denmark has entered into a strategic cooperation agreement with Kalundborg Refinery. The agreement runs for three years with the possibility of extension and includes the delivery of products as well as logistics, purchasing and service solutions to support the operation and maintenance of the refinery's facilities. This is stated by Ahlsell Denmark in a press release.
Kalundborg Refinery produces around 5.5 million tons of oil products annually and is a central part of Denmark's security of supply. The refinery has facilities in continuous operation, which places high demands on uptime, efficiency and stable purchasing processes.
- With Ahlsell, Kalundborg Refinery gets a strategic partner that can match our ambitions and support the development of our business. The change of supplier marks an important step towards even stronger purchasing solutions and more efficient daily operations, says Vikki Fabritius de Tengnagel, strategic buyer at Kalundborg Refinery.
As part of the agreement, Ahlsell will supply, among other things, lubricants, spare parts and tools, as well as products within operational-related categories such as electrical components, transmissions, safety equipment and special products for the industry. In addition, Ahlsell will contribute with intelligent storage solutions that will streamline purchasing and reduce waste time.
- We are proud of the collaboration with Kalundborg Refinery and look forward to showing how our solutions can make a difference and create value in the daily operations of one of Denmark's most complex industrial companies, says Peder Pedersen, Sales Manager at Ahlsell.
The agreement also gives Kalundborg Refinery access to goods around the clock through Ahlsell's 24-hour service, which will help ensure stable operations and minimize the risk of unforeseen stops.
Ahlsell is the largest technical distributor in the Nordic region. Ahlsell Danmark A/S was founded as a company on April 1, 2024, when the former Sanistål and Ahlsell REF were merged and changed their name. The company employs approximately 1,050 employees.
