Steen Harding Hintze recently resigned from his position as sales manager at Hanstholm Port. A position that had otherwise been created for him, and which he only held for a month. The resignation also came as a great surprise to the management of Hanstholm Port.
But now the disappointment has been replaced by anger at Hanstholm Port. Steen Harding Hintze has just been expelled from Hanstholm Port, as a result of accusations of leaking confidential documents, writes Nordjyske.
According to port director Nils Skeby, it has been learned that confidential documents regarding Hanstholm Port's business development have been forwarded to a private email. The forwarding of documents took place immediately before Steen Harding Hintze entered into an agreement with the Port of Hirtshals and terminated his position at the Port of Hanstholm.
- We consider the disloyal actions to constitute a significant violation of the employment relationship at the Port of Hanstholm. We have difficulty finding a plausible explanation for this, and therefore we are considering further formal measures, as the documents are covered by the provisions on trade secrets, says Nils Skeby to Nordjyske.
The chairman of the board of the Port of Hirtshals, Anker Laden-Andersen, has previously denied that the port has any interest in the trade secrets of the Port of Hanstholm. He believes that the ports have two different strategies and are therefore not direct competitors.
Steen Harding Hintze has been contacted for a comment, but has not returned calls.
