Steen Hardin Hintze only managed to work for Hanstholm Port for one month after he took up the position on 1 January this year, in a newly created position as sales manager. He has chosen to resign from his position in favour of a position as development manager at the Port of Hirtshals.

Steen Hardin Hintze's appointment as sales manager for Hanstholm Port was otherwise introduced together with great ambitions for growth.

He was to contribute with his knowledge of development and sales, where he had experience from having been at the helm of the Skive Energy Foundation, where he was one of the driving forces behind the establishment of GreenLab Skive.

Therefore, the resignation also came as a shock to Hanstholm Port's director, Nils Skeby.

- I am extremely surprised and not least disappointed that Steen Harding Hintze has chosen to resign from his position after only one month. As an organization, we had great faith that we had found the right match for our organization and the right competence to develop the port in the right direction, he says.

Nils Skeby fears that there may have been some foul play in connection with the job change to the Port of Hirtshals. Since Steen Hardin Hintze had already gained insight into the strategy of the Port of Hanstholm.

- We have shown Steen great confidence and given insight into the port's objectives and strategic work. There can be many natural reasons for changing jobs, but the fact that this termination occurs after only one month of employment and is caused by an employment agreement with our port colleagues in the Port of Hirtshals - and on top of that as director of a development company that works with a competing agenda, is a scenario that I absolutely would not have thought possible, and that I am very frustrated about, says Nils Skeby.

Port of Hirtshals: We went for the best for the position

That the Port of Hirtshals was after Hanstholm's secrets, rejects Anker Laden-Andersen, chairman of the board of the Port of Hirtshals.

- We went for the best candidate for the position. So we contacted Steen because he has an interesting profile and has shown good results, he tells Nordjyske and continues:

- Our ports have very different profiles and our management has a really broad contact surface and knowledge within green energy. We actually don't expect Steen to bring anything we don't already know. It's his skills that he's hired for, says Anker Laden-Andersen. He believes that Hanstholm is first and foremost a fishing port, while Hirtshals is focusing heavily on transport and green energy.

DK Havenergi has tried to contact Steen Harding Hintze for a comment.
