Hanstholm Port upgrades management, Steen Harding Hintze is hired as new sales manager.

Steen Harding Hintze comes from a position as director of the Skive Energy Fund, where he was the man behind the establishment of the GreenLab Skive business park, which has attracted investments of 1.6 billion DKK in the period from 2016 to 2020. The departure is regrettable in Skive, who have been very satisfied with Steen Harding Hintze.

- We say a big thank you to Steen for an extraordinary effort and for creating results that no one thought were possible a few years ago. It has been a marathon with a lot of sprinters involved and at times more of a hurdle race. Steen has thought and lived Greenlab 24/7 for the past five years. Today, he can see real companies growing up in Kåstrup. And what is important is that the rest of us are not left with just a few "lines on a piece of paper". We are convinced that many more exciting green companies will come to GreenLab Skive in the future, says Stig Christensen, chairman of the board of the Skive Energy Foundation.

Steen Harding Hintze's work in GreenLab has resulted, among other things, in a Power-to-X plant being on its way to GreenLab Skive, and a year ago the Danish Energy Agency gave GreenLab Skive 80 million kroner for the development of the plant.

Will attract new companies

In the Port of Hanstholm, Steen Harding Hintze, in collaboration with Port Director Nils Skeby, will be responsible for contact with the business community and attracting new companies. The Port of Hanstholm has just completed a port expansion worth 650 million kroner, which has resulted in, among other things, 130,000 square meters of new hinterland areas.

- I see great potential in the Port of Hanstholm, and I have no doubt for a moment that the ambitious growth plans will probably become a reality. It is an incredibly exciting task ahead, and I am very much looking forward to getting started with the tasks, getting to know the port's companies and making Hanstholm Port the greenest fishing port in Europe, says Stig Harding Hintze about the job change.

Also new operations manager and deputy director

It is not only on the sales side that Hanstholm Port is changing its organization. The port has also created a new position as a combined operations manager and deputy director. Søren Kanne Zohnesen has been hired for this position. He is currently employed as a port assistant at Hanstholm Port and is also a member of the city council in Thisted Municipality:

- Hanstholm Port is developing rapidly, and we are well underway in realizing version 2.0 with the completion of the port expansion and the increased activity that it already provides. A wide range of exciting projects are waiting to be launched, and I look forward to taking on even more responsibility for the development of the Port of Hanstholm, says Søren Kanne Zohnesen.

The addition of the two employees is pleasing to Port Manager Nils Skeby, who himself joined the Port of Hanstholm earlier this year.

- We are in a transformation process after several years of focus on achieving the goal of the port expansion. It has been successful, and now we need to shift to a new gear, he says and continues:

- To do this, we are in the process of adding new skills to the organization, and I am very pleased that both Steen and Søren have agreed to become part of the team that will lift the Port of Hanstholm to new heights.

Steen Harding Hintze and Søren Kanne Zohnesen will take up their new positions at the Port of Hanstholm on January 1, 2021.
