KERTEMINDE: The internal memo, which states that Kerteminde Municipality can choose to stop plans to expand the Port of Odense at Munkebo at any time, was created at the request of the executive board. The municipality's municipal director Inger Marie Vynne tells Fyens Stiftstidende: "The new memo was created at the request of the municipality's executive board, and the administration has prepared it together with the law firm HortenDahl", she says.
Mayor Michael Nielsen (K) says that the new memo has given the municipality a better understanding of the possible consequences of the city council's decisions.
- There has been some uncertainty about what the municipality was bound by after the decision to initiate the local plan process, and what significance the municipality's letter of support could have, says Michael Nielsen.
