The Danish C25 index closed in the green on Monday with an increase of 0.22 percent. The Danish stock market opened in the red, but around 12:00 Danish time, US President Donald Trump announced that he was postponing attacks on Iranian power plants. And that has turned a negative into a positive, according to Tine Choi Danielsen, chief strategist at pension company PFA.

- It completely changed the mood, and that is what is reflected in the index now, she says.

Immediately after the president's announcement, the index rose by over one percent. The chief strategist, however, urges caution, as the increase in her view is still fragile.

- Some problems have not really been resolved yet, so uncertainty is still high.

Tine Choi Danielsen urges that Danish investors remain on their toes for a while longer. According to her, one should neither sell nor buy up shares based solely on today's developments.

Philip Jagd, head of equities at Sampension, also believes that investors should keep their "seat belts fastened," according to a written comment.

- In principle, the signals from the US could just as well be a test balloon for whether the development can still be reversed - and if it can, then one can afford to escalate further.

He adds that it is unclear whether there is actually an agreement with Iran. Trump said on Truth Social around noon on Monday that the United States and Iran had had "very good and productive talks" about a "complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East". According to Trump, the talks will continue this week.

Today's announcement has also been reflected in the price of oil, which fell significantly on Monday. At around 5:30 p.m., the drop was about eight percent.

Prices have otherwise risen sharply after Iran's Revolutionary Guard took control of the Strait of Hormuz in response to attacks from the United States and Israel.
