Kristian Tilsted is the Liberal mayoral candidate in Thisted Municipality and former technical director at Thy Mors Energi. But now he has landed a job at European Energy as senior manager, head of O&M execution, which means that Kristian Tilsted has become head of the company's solar parks.
- It is the operation and maintenance of European Energy's solar parks, which are located from Bornholm to Læsø, and it is also Kassø, confirms Kristian Tilsted about Denmark's largest solar park of 300 MW, located outside Aabenraa in Southern Jutland.
The workplace for Kristian Tilsted is in Nykøbing Mors, where he will be the manager of a total of 14 employees. To that extent, he is also happy with his new job.
- I am happy to have been considered for the job, he says and adds:
- It is a larger international organization with 43 nationalities among the 850 employees, and it is nationwide, which the other one was not.
The position as technical director at Thy Mors Energi is a thing of the past, although something has not been completed.
- The severance scheme has not expired yet, says Kristian Tilsted, who cannot say more due to an agreement with Thy Mors Energi.
New job – still candidate for mayor
Although he has been given a good new leadership position close to his home municipality, it will not mean anything in relation to the mayoral candidacy for the Liberals in Thisted Municipality, where he still also sits on the city council already. This may mean that he will say goodbye to European Energy after the next municipal election.
- I am still a mayoral candidate for Venstre, so now we have to see what happens, says Kristian Tilsted.
But there is one thing he is absolutely sure of: There will be plenty of time to campaign.
- There are 24 hours in the day, so I will have plenty of time to campaign, he promises.
He will also like to tell how he got the job.
- I was tapped on the shoulder to apply for the job, it says.
Whether the experience and the network from European Energy can be used, for example, to create contacts that may benefit Thisted Municipality later with renewable energy projects, he cannot say. But one thing is certain.
- Network always benefits, no matter what, says Kristian Tilsted.
