Ørsted is preparing to officially inaugurate the Dutch Borssele 1 and 2 on October 5, assuming there are no corona-related delays, writes Offshore Energy.
More than two-thirds of the 94 Siemens Gamesa offshore wind turbines have already been installed. The offshore wind farm already delivered its first power back in April.
Offshore construction began back in January, when the first monopile foundation was installed. Borssele 1 and 2 are Ørsted's first offshore wind farm in the Netherlands, and when it is inaugurated it will be the country's largest wind farm with 752 MW.
