Vesta's German competitor Nordex Group has received an order for 77 MW for the Schneifelhöhe wind farm in Rhineland-Palatinate. The company will supply 11 N163/6.X turbines and be responsible for maintenance in a 20-year full-service agreement. The German wind turbine manufacturer announced this in a statement.
The wind farm will be built on the Schneifel ridge in the Bitburg-Prüm district and will have turbines with a nominal output of seven MW. The project was developed by Energieversorgung Mittelrhein (evm) together with Stadtwerke Karlsruhe and Thüga Erneuerbare Energien. Construction began in October 2025, and the farm is expected to be ready in the second half of 2027.
- We are very pleased to contribute to the energy transition in Rhineland-Palatinate with this project and strengthen the region's security of supply. Our Delta4000 turbines, designed for the local wind conditions, combine innovative technology with a reliable partnership, says Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil, Director Sales Region Central at Nordex Group.
