Everfuel has plans for the next phase of the HySynergy plant at the refinery in Fredericia, which will include a 300 MW electrolysis and PtX plant. The plans involve a scale-up of green hydrogen, of which approximately 20 percent will be used directly as pure hydrogen, while the remaining 80 percent will be used as a fuel cell. will be used as a green feedstock for the production of other fuels.

- This is a unique project and a global showcase for sector integration and PtX, while enabling significant CO2 reduction in both the short and long term, says Jakob Krogsgaard, founder and CEO of Everfuel, adding:

- We are eager to continue the HySynergy phase II project and continue to support Fredericia and the Triangle area as a European hub for PtX and green fuels.

Everfuel is currently developing the HySynergy phase I 20 MW electrolyzer, and final regulatory approval is expected to be completed by summer 2021.

Everfuel has also applied for additional project funding under the “Important Projects of Common European Interest” (IPCEI) scheme for the development of large hydrogen projects. The expected budget for the project is up to 1.9 billion. DKK
