Denmark should never have become dependent on Russian oil and gas, believes Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen (S). This is reported by TV2 Bornholm.
However, the Prime Minister emphasizes that independence cannot be achieved from one day to the next. The restructuring of the energy supply will take time:
- Nothing happens from one day to the next. But when, for example, we from the Danish side have been very busy creating the Bornholm Energy Island, it is not only for the sake of the climate, but also to get ahead in the restructuring of European energy policy, so that we do not have to buy energy from others, Mette Frederiksen explains at a press conference in Belgium.
