A wind turbine transport truck that overturned on Monday morning means that access road 73 Korskro to the Esbjerg motorway is blocked. This is stated by Michael Karsen, who is the duty officer at the South and South Jutland Police.
- It has overturned and is blocking the road. It will probably remain there for a few more hours, and this will inevitably cause some traffic problems in the morning traffic, he says.
In a post on the social media X, the Danish Road Directorate's Traffic Info also draws attention to the incident. It initially stated that the road was expected to be reopened during the morning. However, shortly before 10:00, the expected opening time was pushed back to the afternoon.
Michael Karsen cannot provide more information about how the wind turbine transport overturned, but he states that it weighs around 600 tons. It is therefore not an easy task to get it removed, explains the duty officer.
- There is probably damage to the vehicle, but we don't have an overview of it. And I also think that the road should be checked for damage.
