German Nordex Group has been selected to supply and install N163 turbines with a total capacity of 236 MW for wind projects in North America. Installation of the turbines is expected to begin in 2027, Nordex Group said.
The turbines to be delivered will be the "cold climate version" of the N163/6.X model and will thus be equipped with Nordex's advanced anti-ice system for rotor blades. The technology is intended to ensure high availability and limit ice-related downtime during winter periods.
