Sweco acquires Finnish consulting company with 400 energy specialists

Sweco strengthens its position within energy and industry with the acquisition of Fimpec Group, which is engaged in green transition.

Sweco has entered into an agreement to acquire the Finnish company Fimpec Group, which specializes in consulting, engineering services and project and construction management within the energy and industrial sectors. The transaction, the value of which Sweco did not disclose, is pending approval from the Finnish competition authorities.

Upon completion, Sweco will take over approximately 400 experts from Fimpec, which primarily operates in Finland and had a turnover of almost 51 million euros in 2024. Fimpec has expertise within renewable energy, hydrogen, bio- and circular economy, forest industry as well as batteries and critical minerals.

Fimpec will be integrated into Sweco after regulatory approval.
