A group of Greenpeace activists carried out an action in front of the oil company TotalEnergies’ office in Nordhavn in Copenhagen on Tuesday morning. The activists set up a 20-meter-high lift and hung up a symbolic climate bill of 32 trillion kroner as part of the protest.
According to Greenpeace, the purpose of the demonstration was to demand that oil companies contribute financially to covering the climate damage caused by their emissions. The activists carried banners with messages such as "They destroy - we pay" and "Put a climate tax on the oil giants".
The action lasted about half an hour before the police intervened and stopped it.
