Energy trader Centrica Energy, which has its Danish headquarters in Aalborg, has been named one of the 100 best workplaces in Europe. The company is thus No. 71 on the list "Fortune 100 Best Companies To Work For™ in Europe", which, as the name suggests, is compiled by Fortune based on responses from over 1.5 million employees across Europe in the annual Trust Index™ Survey, which is conducted by Great Place To Work® Centrica Energy said in a statement.
- We are incredibly proud to be recognized by Fortune as one of the 100 best companies to work for in Europe. This recognition reflects the trust, energy and culture that our employees contribute every day, says Aki Danmark Palikaras, People Director at Centrica Energy.
In the survey, the companies were assessed on their ability to build trust, ensure fairness and deliver a consistently positive employee experience – and Centrica Energy's own employees rated their workplace as one of the best in Europe. The results are measured against some of Europe's most recognized workplaces. Centrica Energy has over 800 employees spread across five European countries and is actively working to build a culture characterized by collaboration, innovation and a shared green mission.
- Our employees are our greatest asset, and it is important for us to develop their talent in the best possible environment. Creating a great workplace is not only crucial to our strategy – it is also the right thing to do, says Cassim Mangerah, CEO of Centrica Energy.
The recognition adds to previous awards, including Best Workplace for Gender Equality in Denmark and top positions in national rankings in both Denmark and the UK.
