Eurowind Energy has closed its office in Bulgaria and laid off a number of employees. At the same time, development activities in the country are being transferred to the Bulgarian-based energy investor Renalfa. This is reported by Energy Supply. Eurowind Energy confirms to the media that the company still owns 50 percent of the projects.

"Based on this, we have assessed that the most efficient way to develop our projects is by letting an experienced local partner be responsible for the daily development," Eurowind Energy states in a written response to Energy Supply.

According to Eurowind Energy's accounts for 2024, Bulgaria was the market where the company secured the most financing. At the same time, the country's project pipeline was the fifth largest among the group's then 14 markets.
