FAVRSKOV: A 300-hectare solar cell plant north of Hadsten has received a significant critic.

Just 156 meters from the solar cell project's boundary lives the newly elected chairman of the Central Denmark Region, Anders G. Christensen (V). This is reported by TV 2 Østjylland.

- It will be like living next to an industrial area, he tells the media.

He calls it "completely transformative" for the area between Hadsten, Nørre Galten and Hadbjerg.

The regional council chairman is also a former mayor and city council member in Favrskov Municipality, where the solar cell plant will be located.

He also questions whether the city council has a full overview of the consequences.

- It will be so violent that I doubt that the city council politicians really know what they are doing, he tells TV 2 Østjylland.

Anders G. Christensen is particularly dissatisfied with the lack of citizen involvement. He believes the problem is that the decision-making process has already been decided in practice.

- What we as citizens experience is that the city council is largely not responsive. It is as if the decision has been made de facto, he says.

Despite the fact that Anders G. Christensen is a prominent political figure, he denies that his participation in the debate will negatively affect the democratic process.
