Solplanet has developed an energy management solution that has now been put into use in Denmark in collaboration with Co2Pro. The system is installed on an agricultural property in Central Denmark and combines solar production, storage and consumption in one system.
The solution, Ai-Hub, coordinates solar inverters, batteries and other energy sources in one system. This means that energy consumption can be better adapted to production, and self-produced electricity is better utilized.
- Denmark is one of the markets in Europe where we see rapid development within both energy storage and intelligent energy management. With this type of solution, we are moving away from simply producing energy. We enable systems to respond dynamically to changing conditions, which is becoming increasingly important for both installers and end users, says Claus Menne, Regional Director for the Nordics at Solplanet.
According to the companies, the need for this type of solution has increased in line with fluctuations in energy prices and increased electrification. Agriculture in particular is highlighted as an area with high and varying energy consumption.
- By working with technologies like this in real installations, we can better advise our customers on how they work in practice and how they can support greater energy independence, says Henrik Jochumsen, CEO of Co2Pro.
The installation in Central Denmark is the first of its type in Denmark. The solution is expected to be available on the Danish market from May 2026.
