It was not this time that the Port of Esbjerg got its director on WindEurope's board of directors at yesterday's election.

The CEO of the Port of Esbjerg loses his seat on WindEurope's board of directors.

A strong field of possible candidates meant that the ports were not represented on the board, which already has three Danish members.

He had been invited by the ports around the North Sea to run for WindEurope's board, but Esbjerg Port CEO Dennis Jul Pedersen did not join the board. He says this when DOI.dk catches the director on the phone from Brussels.

- It's especially a shame because I was the only one from a port who ran. And I had been invited to run, says Dennis Jul Pedersen and elaborates:

- There were nine strong candidates for three seats.

At the same time, the director is pleased that Denmark is strongly represented with three members on the board of a total of 29 members.

- CIP got a seat, and DTU and Green Power Denmark also got a seat, says Dennis Jul Pedersen.
