AABENRAA: European Energy's PtX plant in Kassø, which will be one of the largest in the world to date, will go into operation later this year, and more PtX plants may also be on the way to Aabenraa Municipality. More PtX plants open up opportunities for the municipality, which as of August 1st has hired an employee in the form of Hanne Klintøe, who will be given a newly created position as strategic business developer in the municipality.
In the newly created position, Hanne Klintøe will try to exploit the strategic opportunities that result from the establishment of PtX plants in Aabenraa Municipality. Specifically, the new strategic business developer will attract partners, investors, follow-on companies, new jobs and new educational opportunities to the municipality. The Municipality states this in a statement.
- We are very pleased and proud to have attracted a profile like Hannes, who stands out with his strategic approach, his extraordinary drive and international perspective, and who understands both the private and public sectors and can pave the way for dynamic growth, says Municipal Director of Aabenraa Municipality, Tom Ahmt.
With over 18 years of international experience as a change leader and strategic developer in the commercial sector as well as a portfolio of development projects within green transition, including work in the mega-region STRING and the Region of Southern Denmark, Hanne Klintøe was the best match among the applicants for Aabenraa Municipality's ambitions in the PtX area.
- I am very much looking forward to getting started with the work, as I see a very large potential for further value added in connection with the large PtX plants being built in Aabenraa Municipality. An added value that can consist of increased production, employment and settlement, but also a contribution to the reduction of CO2 both locally and regionally, says Hanne Klintøe, who will be pulling on her work clothes on August 1, says Hanne Klintøe.
