Since 2012, the CEO of Rambøll has been Jens-Peter Saul, but that will soon come to an end. The board of directors of the consulting engineering company has decided that the time has come to say goodbye to the 59-year-old German.
- We have a long-term and sustainable direction in place for the company. As we approach the next strategy period, we have agreed that it is time to pass the baton to a new CEO who can both develop and execute the strategy in the coming years, says chairman Claus V. Hemmingsen in a press release.
The board expects to name the new CEO in the coming months. Jens-Peter Saul will continue in his current position until his replacement is found.
- Being CEO of a large organization for almost 14 years is a long time, and I am proud when I look back at what we have achieved, says Jens-Peter Saul in connection with the announcement of his resignation.
He is behind Rambøll's current strategy from 2022, which placed extra focus on green transition and set out to become the world leader in this area.
Jens-Peter Saul is a former CEO of Siemens Wind Power. He was recently named one of the world's 100 most influential leaders in green transition by Times Magazine.
Rambøll was founded in Denmark in 1945 and today has more than 18,000 employees worldwide. In addition to sustainability, the company advises on construction, transport, the environment, energy and management, among other things. It is owned by the Rambøll Foundation, which holds 98 percent of the shares. The remaining two percent is owned by employees.
