A new German coalition agreement between the CDU, CSU and SPD mentions that the incoming government will implement a so-called hybrid offshore grid connection as soon as possible. This gives renewed hope for Energiø Bornholm, which has been on hold since January. This is reported by TV2 Bornholm.
- It is difficult not to imagine that this kind of hybrid is Bornholm, says Søren Møller Christensen, CEO of Baltic Energy Island.
Energiø Bornholm is the project that is furthest along in development, and Denmark and Germany have already jointly applied for EU support for it.
