A number of vocational schools will now have the opportunity to make their education greener with support from the Villum Foundation, which is awarding a total of almost 50 million DKK. The funds will be used, among other things, for new teaching courses and special green lines that will strengthen the skills of future skilled workers within sustainability and green transition. This is stated by the Villum Foundation in a press release.
The money will, among other things, go towards teaching sustainable materials, energy efficiency, electrification and new technological solutions. At the same time, the vocational schools will have the opportunity to upgrade the qualifications of teachers, strengthen cooperation with companies and set up teaching facilities that support green learning.
- The need for new skills within green transition is great, and skilled workers play an important role here. We would like to contribute to the vocational schools being able to provide students with the knowledge and skills that are in demand and that are necessary for the green transition, says Ole Laursen, Head of Distribution at the Villum Foundation.
The support is provided through the Villum Foundation's Greener EUD fund and goes to vocational schools throughout the country.
