VORDINGBORG: The company Arcadia eFuels and Vordingborg have signed a letter of intent, and have received support from Vordingborg Municipality, to locate the world's first large-scale eFuel production facility (Power-to-X) at Vordingborg Port. The parties are currently negotiating a final lease agreement at Vordingborg Port. Arcadia states this in a press release.

At Arcadia eFuels, we have set an ambitious goal to combat climate change, and we are now taking a big step towards being able to produce CO2 neutral aviation fuel within a few years, says Amy Hebert, CEO of Arcadia eFuel.
Arcadia eFuels uses electricity from wind turbines, water and CO2 to produce CO2 neutral aviation fuel. Arcadia's production facility at the port of Vordingborg will be able to produce up to 55,000 tons of eJet Fuel (eKerosene) and 25,000 tons of eNaphtha annually – this corresponds to approximately 100 million liters per year.
Will provide jobs in Vordingborg
The facility is planned to begin construction in 2023 and start commercial activities before the end of 2024. The new facility is expected to create 60 new permanent jobs at the Port of Vordingborg.

The new facility will be located at the Port of Vordingborg's locations on Masnedø, which Arcadia describes as a perfect location due to the availability of green electricity and the fact that the port access makes it possible to ship products to customers.
