Port of Skagen raised revenue to a new record in 2024

The Port of Skagen has experienced a high level of activity in 2024, which has led to a record high turnover of 86.4 million. DKK. This is an increase compared to the previous record from 2023, where turnover was 81.8 million. DKK. The result for the year ends at 26.9 million. DKK. This is stated by the port in a statement.

The positive development covers progress in several of the port's business areas, which has also led to increasing operating costs. The management described the accounts as "very satisfactory", and also highlighted that the organisation has been strengthened to be able to handle future activities.

– It is gratifying that the Port of Skagen is once again delivering a great result. It is really positive with the strong value chains that create both growth and jobs. This applies directly to the port, in the local area and even throughout North Jutland, says Willy B. Hansen, CEO of the Port of Skagen.

The outlook for 2025 is described as promising. The port is focusing on several green initiatives, including the establishment of new shore power facilities, including facilities for unloading pelagic fishing vessels and two mobile facilities, which are expected to be completed in the second quarter. In addition, work is beginning to establish shore power for cruise ships. The Port of Skagen continues to develop both existing and new business areas.
