The government and the parties to the agreement have agreed to establish 11 new industrial parks – more than doubling the five originally planned. According to the business organization Tekniq, this is an important step for both growth and green transition.
- Doubling the number is not just a number - it is a clear message that Denmark will provide industry and business with the framework needed to create green growth, jobs and development throughout the country, says Troels Blicher Danielsen, CEO of the business organization Tekniq.
The new industrial parks will make it easier for companies to establish and expand production. Companies will have access to green infrastructure, collaboration opportunities and a single point of entry to the authorities – something Tekniq has long called for.
- When we gather the framework in one place and remove unnecessary bureaucracy, we not only create room for growth, but also speed up the sustainable transition. These are exactly the kinds of initiatives that move Denmark forward, and we need them in a global reality where the competitive conditions are constantly influenced from outside, says Troels Blicher Danielsen.
Interest has been great among the municipalities. A total of 29 municipalities have applied for 31 projects, which according to Tekniq testifies to broad local support for creating jobs and promoting green development. The 11 industrial parks are located in the municipalities of Aalborg, Esbjerg, Skive, Viborg, Ikast-Brande, Horsens, Aabenraa, Kerteminde, Kalundborg, Næstved and Lolland.
