ODENSE / KERTEMINDE: Politicians in Kerteminde will discuss a proposal to stop the planning work for a controversial expansion of the Port of Odense at the city council meeting today, writes Fyens Stiftstidende.
It is Kristian Hald from the citizen list Hverdagens Stemme who has put the matter on the agenda after revelations of internal emails between Odense and Kerteminde municipalities, which show that Odense has repeatedly tried to postpone the publication of a major traffic analysis until after the municipal elections.
- Odense Municipality has broken both trust and the principle of full transparency. When you try to hide important information from the public, we cannot continue as if nothing has happened, writes the city council member in an appendix to the city council agenda.
