HJØRRING: The number of employees and departments has grown significantly at the Port of Hirtshals, which is owned by the Municipality of Hjørring. As a result of this positive development, the port has expanded the management board with two new members with effect from 1 October.

Until now, the management board at the port has consisted exclusively of CEO Per Holm Nørgaard. But now the current Head of Finance Anja Vrangager and Head of Port Expansion Niels Kiersgaard will also become part of the management at the port. They will be given the titles of CFO (Chief Financial Officer) and COO (Chief Operations Officer), respectively.

 - The Port of Hirtshals has undergone significant development in recent years with the employment of more employees, and we have increased the number of departments, all of which have reported directly to me. At the same time, we are in full swing with plans for a major expansion of the port, and we have an ambitious goal of becoming a hub for the production and consumption of green energy. This requires a great strategic focus, which we now have the opportunity to prioritize, says CEO Per Holm Nørgaard from the Port of Hirtshals and continues:

- The expansion of the management board means that we are in a very strong position in both the short and long term and can pursue the business opportunities that arise.

The organizational change also means that Head of Communications & Executive Coordinator Kikki Kongerslev, who acts as primary sparring partner and support for Per Holm Nørgaard, will be part of the daily management team.

In 2022, the Port of Hirtshals delivered a record turnover of 84.9 million DKK and a profit of 6.4 million DKK.
